Eisbar started as a small family business producing knitwear. The name Eisbär (Polar bear) has become synonymous now with quality skiwear. For many years the Eisbar brand has been well established on the continent and is one of the main sponsors and suppliers to the Austrian national ski team. All hats used by the Austrian ski team during completion will have the legendary Ski-Pool logo on the front.
The factory is in the beautiful village of Feldkirchen close to the river Danube, near Linz. All the production is in Austria using local staff in all the manufacturing process right down to the final process of hand finishing detail.
Although Eisbär hats are fundamentally designed for the winter sports market, both Alpine and Nordic. Eisbär hats because of their quality are also very suitable for many other activities that may be affected by wind chill. They have been spotted sailing, on the rugby pitch and surfing.
