About Organics for KidsDo the world a favour - buy organic!
Made in England. Organic for Kids are a small company who work with local people and manufacturer their entire range in Nottingham.
All clothes made by Organic for Kids are 100% organic. They source their certified organic cotton from just two suppliers with whom they work ver closely. When it is available they use only fair-trade certified organic cotton but even when it is not available they are confident that all cotton they use has been fairly traded.
All cotton has been certified organic by one or more of the following:
Soil Association
Organics for Kids have just had their Soil Association certification renewed for the second year.
Ethical Trading Initiative
Soil Association certification also means that their supply chain meets the Base Code criteria of the Ethical Trading Initiative.
Control Union (formally SKAL)
This is an internationally recognised Dutch body, which ensures that the cotton is grown organically, and that the processing (spinning, weaving, washing, dyeing, etc) is undertaken in an environmentally responsible way.
GOTS
All garments adhere to the Global Organic Textile Standards.
Organic for Kids Dyes
The dyes used on all fabrics are not organic themselves, but meet the Oeko-tex 100 standard, which protects against harmful substances. They are also covered by the above organic inspection processes. |
