We’re huge fans of Anne Claire’s Petit’s gorgeous handmade soft toys. Each one uses traditional techniques and natural materials to create charming soft animals that are simply oozing personality. The brand itself is the brain child of Anne Claire Petit herself; a designer from the Netherlands. After spending four years with Esprit, she decided to take her creativity to the next level and start her own label. For the first 10 years, she produced beautiful shawls and eventually moved into the realm of children’s toys and accessories. These days, Anne Claire Petit’s range is sold in hundreds of shops in over 35 countries. We know that a lot of our customers are huge fans of Anne Claire Petit too, so when they recently released their new range, we made sure that we were quick to get a great selection in stock! These new arrivals are now up on the Birdkids store, so head on over and take a look! My particular favourite is this delightful spotted cat. He’s truly adorable, with a dark grey body and brightly-coloured spots all over. I also love his traditional design with his long arms and legs; it reminds me of a soft toy that my mum made for me from an old sock! While most of Anne Claire Petit’s toy are crocheted, the cat has been knitted from soft jersey cotton which makes him even better to cuddle! Of course, Anne Claire Petit doesn’t just make beautiful toys! This toadstool pouffe is simply fantastic… and not just for a child’s bedroom! The quality and longevity that’s found in every toy is also present here so you can be sure that it will easily handle anything that family life throws at it! Because each item in the range is made by hand, this makes each one unique. However, every single toy and accessory shares the same beautiful, bright colours and attention to detail. We hope you’ll enjoy the new range as much as we do; you can see all of it over on the Birdkids site. Just be sure to check back regularly as we will have some other toys on the way very soon! Just be sure to let us know what you think of the new additions by leaving us a comment below or over on Facebook, Twitter or Google+!
