Is it really New Year’s Eve already? It seems like only five minutes ago we were talking about summer holidays, and yet here we are up to our knees in snow, and about to step into yet another year. Well they do say, “Time flies when you are having fun”, so 2011 must have been my funniest year yet! I am however, looking forward to the New Year and whatever it may bring, I am determined to enjoy this evening and overindulge one last time before the New Year’s resolution diet kicks in. One great thing about the New Year is the many sales it brings, and with savings of up to 50%, I am ready to start shopping for the children’s gifts and birthday toys once the January sales are in full swing. While shopping so early for birthday toys and games may be seen as frugal, I find it to be the perfect opportunity to buy my kids those gifts they wanted, but didn’t get on Christmas day. One such item was the Cupcake kit by The Cooking Club for kids, which was apparently, written on my daughter’s wish list to Santa. Sadly, ‘Santa’ missed it, and so it is the perfect gift for her birthday instead! Ideal for those miserable winter afternoons, this brilliant cooking set contains everything you need to make cupcakes such as measuring cups, a spatula, spoons, a tray, a decorating set and four collectable cupcake recipes. A lovely children’s toy, I might just splash out on the Gingerbread Kit and the Pancake Kit from the same Cooking Club for Kids collection. If you have never tried it before, why not make the most of the January sales, and shop for a lovely collection of New Year’s toys for all your little girls and boys.
