As the designers themselves say: "If you have a troubled mind, watch a mobile and unwind". This phrase helps define Flensted Mobiles, a company taking a traditional craft and adapting it for the modern world. First created in 1954 by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe to celebrate the birth of their first daughter. The company has grown throughout the world and in 2014 they celebrated 60 years of bringing movement and balance to the world, and they are still as commited to bringing traditional, handmade Danish design to your home.

The first Flensted Mobiles design, the Stork mobile, was a great success and since then they have not looked back. Since then Christian has become known as the "Uromager", a name impossible to translate into English, but which roughly means a "maker of mischievous things that are always on the move".  This attitude has been spread throughout the family and is continued by his son Ole and his wife Aase.
